Jules Grable (she/her) started her role as Director of Student Advocacy in October 2023. She started her career at Butler University in 2018 as the Sexual Assault Response and Prevention Specialist. Jules has served in the field of response and prevention in a variety of roles for the past decade, including providing emergency crisis and victim advocacy services in four states, and developing and maintaining programs at two universities. She is a 500-hr Registered Yoga Teacher with certifications in Trauma-Informed Yoga practice. She is also a Certified Meditation Instructor and teaches Mindfulness in Everyday Life at Butler. Jules is a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor and is currently pursuing her second graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Butler University.

The Advocacy Fellow strives to improve Butler’s cross-campus communication regarding mental, physical, and emotional health, as well as assist in creating a healthier campus community. The Advocacy Fellow serves as student support staff for the Director of Student Advocacy and as a point person and resource for various groups on campus.
Sophie Knue (she, her) is a dynamic and passionate junior at Butler University, where she is pursuing a major in Sociology and Criminology with a minor in Music on the Pre-Law track. With a deep commitment to social justice and advocacy, Sophie currently serves as the Advocacy Fellow with the Office of Student Advocacy at Butler University.
Sophie’s journey in student advocacy began during her freshman year when she joined the Office of Student Advocacy and Title IX Office. Sophie is actively shaping the campus community through her involvement in student organizations. As the Founder and President of the Butler Survivors Alliance, she has created a supportive space for survivors while fostering a culture of empowerment and resilience. Sophie also holds the role of Community Outreach Chair for the Gender Equity Movement at Butler, furthering her impact in promoting gender equality and inclusivity on campus.
Looking ahead, Sophie envisions a career in education law, aspiring to become a Title IX Coordinator and contribute to the advancement of civil rights. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, listening to her favorite artist Lady Gaga, and hanging out with her dog, Shyla.
